Jen and Ben are heading to SPLITSVILLE

Unfortunately Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are on the outs. They are currently going through a divorce. Apparently there were rumors that it had something to do with J. Lo but sources have stated that is untrue. We've all heard Ben has a gambling problem which Jen didn't like and brought her a lot of stressed.  Surprisingly a lot of celebrities get divorced and married right under our noses without us knowing.

Celebs that got married unbeknownst to fans:

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt August 2014

Alexis Bledel and Vincent Kartheiser June 2015

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard

Kerry Washington and Nnamdi Asomugha

Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds

Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem

Naya Rivera and Ryan Dorsey Late 2014

Calista Flockhart and Harrison Ford

Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen

And many more. To see a longer list check out this article on Entertainment Tonight Online.
As you can see even though we like to think we know everything about our favorite celebs, sometimes the reality is that we don't, or at least not right away. Some of these celebs kept their nuptials secret only for a few hours or days while some a month or more. Either way I wish them all happiness.

Disturbingly Heartbreaking Ordeal in McKinney, TX

So in a world where race is still a BIG factor regardless of the advancement of everything else, clearly some people's perspective on life and people who look different than them hasn't advanced. It's 2015 and there are still new reports showing that among other things, white's make more than blacks in the same position, job, etc. Surprise, surprise.

So the other day a video surfaced showing a disturbing incident of a cop using what I deem as brutal, unnecessary force on a teenage girl (15 years old) who was attending a pool party. Since no one wants to admit that it's definitely racially fueled, let's ignore that for a moment and just focus on this young girl's size, age and the fact that she is female. In the video the cop can be seen pushing the girl to the ground in the grass pulling her by her braids, and basically throwing his knee down in her back.

After reluctantly watching this video, I immediately wondered what the heck could have happened to make him deem that necessary. Again ignoring her race, what would you do if this happened to your teenage daughter? Okay back to the video. Curious, I kept a watchful eye out for any updates or any additional information that might explain how this all came about.

Come to find out the teenage girl was initially attacked by a white female adult that was also at the pool. 'The Dallas Morning News' reported that the host of the pool party explained what started the confrontation between the two. The white female adult apparently started things by making racist comments towards the party goers including telling one of them to return to her public housing before slapping her in the face. (What happened to adults being role models?) But realistically the host actually lives in the same subdivision as the woman.

The woman was saying other really ugly comments which can be heard in one of the videos of the incident posted on YouTube. Some people are commenting on the incident wanting to try and put responsibility on the host saying she was probably breaking swimming pool rules, etc. My thing is whether or not the rules were broken, that gives NO ONE the right to put their hands on ANY ONE else. I hope the adult that truly started it gets charged with something.

It was hard for me as a kind, respectful, loving person and mother to watch this video in it's entirety. It completely broke my heart. You can read more about this incident here  or here .

Are you a whoa-man?

It's 2015, cars are to parking themselves, chickens are being given dinosaur heads in labs, cops are using their authority for evil, people are realizing that putting fluoride in drinking water started with Hitler and that racism still very much exists, human barbie's are walking around, REALity shows are faker than scripted series', men are becoming women and vice versa.

Everything I've stated, whether you've been hiding in a cave and didn't know it or already knew, is very true. As crazy as some of it may seem I don't think the human race will EVER learn. Why some want dinosaurs walking among us is beyond me.  High fluoride exposure/consumption leads to decreased brain function and decreased fertility (which are reasons Hitler used it). Some conspiracy theorists believe the US government knows this and are using it to keep Americans dumb, their pineal glands calcified and for population control. With cars being so computerized there are many concerns one of them being nerds with no life, hacking them (yes people it's completely possible). When it comes to racism, even our poor POTUS (President of the United States) is a victim. He officially joined Twitter on Monday and it didn't take long for all of those hate filled evil people to show their UGLY faces by calling him all kinds of slurs, racial and sexual. Which I have to say I truly believe, if he was Caucasian would NEVER be acceptable and people wouldn't have the audacity to do it but of course nothings going to happen because he's not.

Yes, I know it sounds crazy but people all over the world have actually spent thousands of dollars on cosmetic and plastic surgery to look like...Barbie. Um, no thank you. Now I like SOME reality shows but even my favorites I know are manipulated for ratings. And last but CERTAINLY not least is men becoming women and women becoming men. In my eyes I feel like people should do for themselves whatever makes them happy as long as it's not interfering negatively impacting others and in this case I don't think transitioning has anything to do with anyone except the one transitioning but of course that's just my opinion. For example, Bruce Jenner (yes, I know we are all tired of talking/hearing about the Kardashian/Jenner's but he's transitioning in front of the world and is a great example) everyone seems to have something to say about it but why? Is he directly impacting your life by doing this? Is his becoming a woman going to change your life in ANY way? What's that you say? I can't hear you. No? Oh, okay so WHY DO YOU CARE SO MUCH?

Okay my rant is done lol.

Three Lines You Should Not Use at Work

Nowadays, more and more people, men and women alike, are career-driven and would like to move up the corporate ladder. Gone are the days when you content to just bring home the bacon. Now, you want to be able to bring home the pig and then some.

In order to start your way up the corporate ladder, though, there are three lines that you should not use.

First, stay away from the lines, "this is how we've always done it" or "in my previous company, this is how we did it." There is nothing wrong with following best practices and there is nothing wrong with learning from previous experiences, as long as they do not stop you from recognizing new and better ways to perform on the job. One scenario that is always given is about tying one's shoe laces. When you were young, your parents taught you how to tie your laces and this is something you carried with you until now. Now, however, it is advisable to double knot your laces. So, while you've been tying your laces the same way all your life, it is better to double knot. It will stay tied longer.

You should also be careful about saying "I don't have time ... " Time management is very important in order for you to succeed in the corporate world. Along with managing your time, you should learn to choose your battles. You cannot make time for everything, but you should make time for battles you can win and delegate other tasks to those who can do well in it. This also means that you should know your strengths and how to use them to your advantage.

Finally, how many times have you said "I can't do that" without first trying the task? Most of the time, you shy away from the unknown. On the other hand, you can only learn new things if you explore beyond your comfort zone. So, the next time you feel like saying, "I can't do that," try saying "let's try it" and see how much further you can push yourself and you never know, you just might surprise yourself too.

It takes work for you to be able to work your way up the corporate ladder. If you are not comfortable of reaching beyond your usual ways or stretching yourself further, it will be much harder and will take longer for you to get to the top.

If you want a change....change your hair!

Okay so it's no secret some celebs change their hair color what seems like every day. Others change their hair cut or sometimes add extensions. For us "normal" people we don't have the money to spend on these sorts of things and if we do like "normal"people our hair can definitely suffer the consequences of such frequent/drastic changes.

Let's take for instance the lovely and very over talked about Kim K. One day she was platinum blonde (which I'd have to say was not a good look for her) and the next day she was back to brown. Now I think it's safe to say even though some assume it had to be a wig others believe she dyed her hair either way I'm pretty sure it wasn't some $50 wig from a hair boutique.

Other celebs have actually fessed up to having caused hair loss due to the constant dying. For example Ariana Grande. She has admitted that because of the constant dying red of her hair she dealt with thinning hair and committed to extensions and the high pony that has become kind of like her brand.

Now she may be able to spend limitless money on these sorts of things but for us when we damage our hair our hands can be tied in the choices we have at that point.

For some they could be lucky enough to just need a fresh cut and let their hair rest while for others, well if they were to cut their hair they'd be praying every night for it grow back. Luckily for those folks, with the technological advances of today this doesn't have to be the end all be all for their hair.

With products like Rogaine, Keranique and countless vitamins like Hairfinity, along with procedures like hair transplants from companies like Bosley their are cost effective options for "normal" people to fight the battle of hair loss whether we cause it ourselves or have no choice in the matter.

Did you notice the biggest common change in celebrities in 2014?!

So I noticed something strange about Jamie Foxx when I watched Annie. No it wasn't a weight difference, no it wasn't an age difference...it was staring me right in my face.

Do you see it? No it's not that he seems much happier in 2013. No it's not that he's wearing a suit in 2014. It's his hair. I know it's not just me that sees it.

Okay how about this one...

You have to see it now as this example is much more drastic. If you guessed his hair than you guessed right! Congratulations! Not that you win a prize or anything but you can rest well knowing you are pretty observant.

These two or only a couple of the many celebrities that changed up their locks within the last couple of years. According to an article on Buzzfeed they may have achieved this change by luck, hair transplants or possibly everyone's eyes are just playing games on them. Looking through the other pictures they have on their site I'd say most if not all achieved it by hair transplant. But definitely don't take my word for it...go take a look for yourself! And if you don't know what I'm talking about when I say hair transplant...this might help.

Celebrity Doppelganger!

It's crazy when we see familiar faces in the street and then they end up to be somebody different! The experience gives us all a good laugh at the end of the day! Here are the photos of strangers who can be a doppelganger of our favorite celebrities!

Caring cop.

This is what I like to see. So there was a 10K in Louisville, KY on March 21, 2015. One particular participant who has lost more than 200 pounds in just 2 years was taking on the race with her son by her side. Her former husband had lost a hand a leg partly because of diabetes and with a report from her doctor that she needed a knee replacement she was wanted to get her health in order and joined a bootcamp called Aspirations. Throughout the race she could feel her body shutting down and didn't think she'd make it. Until a cop came to join her and help motivate her to finish the race which they all did...together. In a world filled with chaos especially surrounding police it's great to see this one really doing something out of the kindness of his heart. Hats off to you Lt. Aubrey Gregory.

While you were sleeping...

While most of the world was asleep I was awake watching the Equinox live online. If you saw it you are lucky. It was simply....breathtaking. Things like that you don't get to see very often and if you do...hats off to you. There were only certain parts of the world that could witness it so thanks to Svalbard (a Norwegian archipelago in the Arctic Ocean), even though I'm not in one of those parts I was still able to view it as they streamed it on a news website.

To say I've seen nothing like it is an understatement. I can only wish that one day I'll be lucky enough to see it in person.

Well, Hi There!

Well...hi there. :-)

Whatever has led you to this blog, whether it was an intentional search for something specific or an accidental click of a link, I'm glad you are here. As the blog name suggests this blog will include some of this and some of that. One day it may be ramblings on about a TV show I watched the night before. The next day it may be about a restaurant I went to for lunch and the next it may be about an interesting research article I've read. Stay tuned and I hope you enjoy your time here with me. I'm a pretty opinionated person and some find my opinions to be comical and so you might just find entertainment in some of the things I post. Either way I look forward to sharing with you all.

TTFN...ta ta for now!
